Dobro.ru spearheads many of Bright Future International’s efforts in Russia. Through Dobro.ru BFI identifies Not For Profits (NFPs) and volunteer organizations located in different regions throughout the country and provides financial, strategic and operational support tor the most deserving. To accomplish this goal, Dobro.ru has created a unified database of NFPs and volunteer organizations currently operating in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Program administrators in the regions of Volga and Ural are invited to submit funding request proposals for their community-based projects. Initially, nine projects were selected to receive grants, and the initiative was launched through a host of celebrity announcements, press conferences, and events.
On October 1, 2012, Bright Future International began the program in Russia. After extensive research and analysis of Russia's current situation regarding philanthropic issues, the idea of competition was born. The program's goal was to provide accurate and trustworthy information, as well as financial support for voluntary initiatives and movements working to promote the values of good deeds. Dobro.ru is just one of the many programs reflecting Bright Future's ambitions and intentions to make a positive impact.
